MARTIAL ARTS
Absorbent Minds is proud of many martial students that began their martial arts experience at Absorbent Minds, graduated for further lessons at the Energy Martial Arts Academy and now have received their Black Belts.
The martial arts (Nerkin Ouj) program at Absorbent Minds is in collaboration with Energy Martial Arts Academy .The unique philosophy of Nerkin Ouj places great importance on self improvement and personal growth. This philosophy uses Martial Arts training as a vehicle to instill knowledge about mindfulness, respect, positivity and self-trust which in turn allows for the revelation of the true strength and potential of the human mind.
FRENCH CLUB
Apart from the weekly French lessons offered as part of our curriculum a weekly French Club offers further French instruction. The acquisition of French language is a pleasurable experience for the students and is observed through spontaneous singing of French songs and using French vocabulary to describe objects around them. Written exercises , reading and drama are introduced age appropriately.
WATER COLOUR ART
Painting with our Art teacher Ms. Clare Cochrane is simply joyful. Our young students are captivated by her different art projects. The art room is a place they come to be inspired, to learn to mix and create their own colors, to imagine and produce one of a kind artwork .
CHESS CLUB
The game of chess has long been proven to be an ideal learning tool for school-aged children. While playing, your child is subconsciously developing their personality, intellectual skills and strength of character. All this while having fun! Wow!
